Highlights:
Pickup at 8:30 AM from your Arusha hotel, then drive to Tarangire National Park for a full day of game viewing with a picnic lunch. Tanzania’s third-largest National park is known for its majestic baobab trees that dot the landscape, dwarfing the animals that feed beneath them. The Tarangire River serves as the park’s focal point and is home to some of Africa’s largest elephant herds. Here you may see lion, leopard, Cheetah, lesser Kudus, Buffalo, Oryx, Eland, giraffes, and zebras. A delicious dinner is waiting for you when you return to your lodge after your game drive.
After an early breakfast, you will enter the Ngorongoro Crater to search for the black rhino, which is the most difficult animal to see. With a wide variety of wildlife, including elephants, hyenas, big cats, rhinos, and more, inside this stunning crater, you can experience Africa’s “Noah’s Ark.” In the afternoon, you will stop for lunch at the hippo lake and then enjoy another game drive as you ascend back up to the crater rim. Return to the lodge, check out, and make your way to Arusha.
